Use this mail order form to buy a valid Mackinac Bridge license plate or collector plate. Plates also may be

ordered online or at a Secretary of State oce. Mackinac Bridge license plates cost $5. For an additional

prorated fee, your Mackinac Bridge plate may be personalized. Check personalized plate availability prior

to submitting your plate order. Your new plate will arrive by mail within 21 days. If buying a Mackinac

Bridge plate for a new vehicle or when renewing, your normal registration fees will apply. (Note: Collector

plates can’t be used for vehicle registration.)

To purchase online: Visit our Online Services and follow the screen prompts for ordering a plate.

To purchase by mail: Complete the order form. Pay by check or money order made payable to the

State of Michigan. Mail the completed application along with payment to: Michigan Department of State,

Internal Services Section, Lansing MI 48918.

Mackinac Bridge collector plates: Collector plates cost $10 and are for display purposes only. Each

collector plate includes the word “SAMPLE” over the plate design. Collector plates cannot be personalized.
