occurs and we have the experience and
knowledge to walk you through all of
them. We know what needs to be done
immediately and what can be dealt with at
a later date. The Egan Funeral Home has
nine licenced funeral directors on sta
to address your questions and concerns.
There is no problem too big or request
too unique; come to us and we will assist
you with kindness and insight.

fees are xed, they are fair for the level of
service we provide. Beautiful funerals do
not need to be expensive funerals and
some of the most interesting ways we
personalize funerals cost nothing. This is

We respect the needs of families and always
try to have one funeral director follow through
with arrangements, visitation and on the day
of the funeral service. You will not be dealing
with one director during arrangements, then
a dierent one for visitation, and yet another
one to help you on the day of the funeral
service. Your comfort level is one of our main
concerns. Having the same funeral director
walk through the initial part of this journey
with you is very important.
The Egan Funeral Home is owned and
operated by Paul Egan. He, and his daughters
Elaine and Kimberley, have continued the
high standard of service started by Paul’s
grandfather, William R. Egan, in 1913. We
have the knowledge and compassion to make
the funeral what you need and respect your
values, customs and budget.

SCHEDULE OF SERVICE CHARGES
AND CASKET PRICE LIST
The enclosed Service Charges and Price List are provided to assist you in
determining funeral charges whether you want a Traditional Service, an
Alternate Service or a Direct Service.
In addition to these charges, you may have charges for the cemetery or
crematorium, extra newspaper notices, clergy honourarium, owers, an
outer burial container for the casket, or an urn for the cremated remains.
Arrangements can be made at the time of need or, as many are doing now,
before the actual need occurs and these services may be pre-paid or may
be pre-arranged and paid for when the death occurs.
We appreciate the condence you have placed in us and we feel it is our
responsibility to provide you with information that will allow you to choose
those services and merchandise in keeping with your needs and desires.
At the Egan Funeral Home, we are proud of the tradition of professional
service that has been built over 100 years and by four generations of our
family. We continue that service which demonstrates high standards of
excellence and dignity.

SERVICES
Basic Professional Fees ...............................$1,725.00
From the moment of your rst telephone call to us, our
time is devoted to you and your family's needs during
and after this sensitive time. This includes, but not
limited to, our initial family consultation with a licensed
funeral director pertaining to funeral arrangements,
administration, co-ordination and scheduling of details for
visitation, ordering caskets, urns, creation of personalized
custom stationery, giving guidance with personalizing and
placement of newspaper notices. A basic professional
service is payable whenever we are providing services
to you. Paul Egan has maintained the funeral director
whom you rst consult with is with you throughout your
time in our funeral home, arranging, receiving you prior to
visitation, and directing your loved one's funeral.
Co-ordinating Rites and Ceremonies ............$275.00
Co-ordination of all rites and ceremonies, before, during
and after they have been provided. This includes,
but not limited to, contacting the clergy, cemetery or
crematorium, ordering owers, catering, and scheduling.
Documentation .............................................. $460.00
We assist families with recording vital statistics for us
to complete a Statement of Death which is required by
the province in order to register a death. We proceed
by completing all Canadian Government forms including
cancelling Old Age Security and Canada Pension Plan in
addition to completing the necessary forms for families to
apply for the Death Benet and Survivors Benet through
Canada Pension Plan. We complete a burial permit for
burial or cremation, cremation application if applicable,
and any required coroner’s certicate for cremation or
out-of-province transfer. We also provide ten original
proof of death certicates for estate settlement purposes.
Additional originals may be requested and provided at no
extra cost.
Transfer of deceased
from place of death ........................................$325.00
We will look after the transfer of the deceased 24 hours
a day from the place of death to the funeral home.
Additional charges may apply if the death occurs outside a
40 km radius of the funeral home. At no additional cost, a
second sta member may be required.
Basic care and
preparation of the deceased
............................ $250.00
This is required at all times and can include setting of
facial features, bathing, dressing and placing the deceased
into the casket.
Embalming and Preparation ............................ $350.00
This procedure is for disinfection, restoration and
preservation. There is no legal requirement for embalming,
but may be recommended to preserve the body between
time of death and the visitation or service. This is
recommended for both burials and cremations. Embalming
is required when a family requests entombment.
Hair Stylist Service ............................................. Complimentary

Professional supervision by a licensed funeral director
and sta. Here at Egan’s, we take pride that we have
numerous sta members personally opening our doors
each time a family member or friend enters our funeral
home throughout the visitation hours. We are there to
assist them and direct them to the appropriate visitation
suite your family is receiving in. We also assist with taking
charity donations and answering questions you, your
relatives or friends may have while they are visiting. In
addition, we oer a lounge for coee/tea, specialty coees
including espresso and cappuccino, and cookies as light
refreshment during your visitation hours.

This includes provision of all common areas of the funeral
home required to allow us to facilitate your needs and
may include, but not limited to, parking facilities, general
costs for heating/cooling and maintenance of building,
elevator, washrooms, consultation rooms, and common
areas. This is an essential fee whenever we provide
services.
Facilities for Visitation ...................................$450.00
The use of the funeral home, visitation room and lounge
(when available), before and during agreed visitation
times. This fee is for visitation up to a 4 hour maximum.
Additional costs may apply if families request above the 4
hour maximum.
Facilities for Service
Onsite or Osite..............................................$450.00
The use of our chapel or choice of a more quaint room
for smaller gatherings. If the service is held away from
our building, there is a greater time and sta commitment
required.
Facilities for Shelter/
Preparation/Embalming ................................$320.00
Use of a secured area where the deceased can be placed,
with safety, respect and dignity. This charge applies
whenever the deceased is in our facility for any purpose.

Used for basic tasks such as obtaining and registering

Funeral Coach
..................................................$475.00
A funeral coach is used when there is a formal funeral
procession to a cemetery or crematorium. In addition,
when a family chooses cremation, the funeral coach is
used when pallbearers carry the casket out at the end of
the service. Three hour maximum. $100.00/hour after
3hours.
Family Limousine ............................................ $600.00
Limousine used to drive family members from family
home or from funeral home to chapel or place of worship,
to cemetery, then back to residence or reception. Three
hour maximum. Each additional hour is $100.00.
Vehicle used for Transfer/Advance
Vehicle/Floral Delivery ...................................$325.00
Vehicle used to transfer the deceased from place of
death into our care. Advance vehicle to arrive at cemetery
before procession arrives to locate grave, set up owers,
deliver paperwork to cemetery oce, meet procession at
gates to lead to grave. Flowers not requested to go to the
cemetery, or taken home by the family, are delivered with
this vehicle to the local nursing homes for them to place
in vases around the home for residents to enjoy.
Additional Mileage
A fee of $3.50/km, travelled one way will be applied to all
vehicles beyond a 40 km radius of the funeral home.
STATIONERY
Prestige Package ............................................. $495.00
Guest Register Book of choice with custom graphic
design. Our register books are personalized by a Graphic
Designer. Depending on the family's choice, one selection
of books can include up to ten family photos and the
other selection can include up to 30 photos along with
selected poems and graphics. Includes personalized
Memorial Cards, one Four-Sided Candle, Thank you cards,
8x10 Framed Photo.

CATERING
We oer a number of catering options here at Egan's.
Our reception room accommodates 140 people and is in
a living room style set up oering three tables for 14
people to sit, in addition to our chairs and couches
dispersed around the room. We are not set up to oer
hot food which includes, for example, lasagna, chicken,
pasta, and sausages.
All costs include use of room for two hours, hostess,
paper plates, napkins, coee/tea and water and quoted
for 50 people reception.

An assortment of wraps and sandwiches made on a
wide selection of breads, dessert platter with an array of
sweets including squares, butter tarts, fruit tarts,
brownies and slab cakes, fruit platter, pickle tray, and ne
cheese platter.
Garden Foods and Zehrs oer a wide selection of options
for families to enjoy.
Additional costs will occur if a family requests to enjoy
wine and beer during their reception including a Smart
Server and liquor permit.
FUNERAL PAYMENT OPTIONS
We are honoured you trust us with your loved one and
taking care of your needs. We do not give deals or
discounts o the service fee and will not negotiate price.
We treat every family with the same exceptional service,
kindness and attention to detail.
Full payment is required at time of arrangements. Please
be prepared with a personal cheque, Visa, or Master Card
as we accept these forms of payment. If costs are an
issue, please ask us about alternative services or supplies,
or assistance from the Public Works Department in the
region your loved one lived in.

tion room for a reception following the memorial service. The
lounge may be unavailable at certain periods and it may be
necessary to impose a time limit of two hours for receptions.
If you supply your own food for the reception, there will be an

GRAVURE CRAFT
Gravure Craft provides a selection of jewellery in stainless
steel in a wide array of dierent shapes, all being able to
hold a small portion of cremated remains. This company
oers a selection of pet jewellery as well. Consult with your
funeral director for pricing.
VICTORIAVILLE AND CO
Victoriaville and Co. is a family owned company and oers
a wide selection of stainless steel jewellery including
pendants, bracelets and key chains. In addition, Victoriaville
oers a beautiful selection of opaque glass with fused
cremated remains which take shape in pendants, cylinder
glass beads or spherical glass beads that can be worn as a
necklace or bracelet. Price varies with choice of product.
When arranging a funeral, either pre-need or at time of need,
your funeral director will require information about the person
for whom the arrangements are being made.
