How to make
We’re a registered charity in England (no. 219830)
1. Place the newspapers or old tablecloth
that you don’t mind getting messy,
on your table for protection before you
get started.
2 Decide which design you’d like to
make from the ideas on this template,
remembering to dab a bit of water on
the colour of your choice.
3. Swirl your finger in the paint and pick
up some colour on your finger.
4. Press your finger firmly onto the card
and lift off the paper.
5. Repeat as many times as you wish,
remembering to wash your finger in
the water and wipes before changing
colours.
6. When the paint has completely dried,
take your coloured pens to decorate
your card and make it come to life.
7. Write a Christmas message on the front
if you wish, in your neatest handwriting.

fake calligraphy.
8. Sit back and marvel at your one-of-
a-kind Christmas card. Don’t worry
if its not 100% perfect, it adds to the
handmade look! The lucky person
to receive it will feel all warm and
fuzzy that you took the time to make it
especially for them.
9. Take a photograph of your crafty
creations and post them on Twitter

Crafty variations
Now that you have the materials, you can use finger
painting to make the rest of your Christmas wrapping:
Wrapping paper
Take some brown paper and create a pattern
of a finger paint design for unique, homemade
wrapping paper.
Place settings
Take some card and fold in half. On one side
add a finger paint design and write on the name.
Repeat for all of your guests and place one at the
top of each plate.
Gift tags
Cut some card into a
rectangle and hole-punch
one corner. Add a finger
paint design and write
on the name. Take some
twine or ribbon and feed
through the hole and tie
it to a wrapped gift.
