HSBC LAUNCHES EXTRA CUSTOMER BENEFITS IN
SUPPORT OF GOVERNMENT CASH PAYOUT SCHEME
*Preferential 10% p.a. HKD savings deposit rate*
*30 prizes of HKD10,000 and 80 lucky winners to get electronic gadgets *
*First bank to accept registration via mobile branches serving 19 locations*
HSBC Hong Kong personal customers can enjoy a preferential HKD savings
deposit rate and win attractive prizes by registering for the Government Cash
Payout Scheme (the “Scheme”) through the Bank.
Customers, who register for the Scheme through HSBC on or before 31
August 2020 and receive the payment on or before 17 September 2020, can
enjoy a one-month preferential 10 per cent per annum HKD savings deposit
rate with the principal capped at HKD10,000. Customer are also required to
complete at least one designated digital procedure or transaction

within the
offer period.
In addition, eligible customers will have a chance at winning an extra
HKD10,000 (30 winners), Apple iPhone SE 128GB (60 winners) and Apple
iPad Air 256GB (20 winners).
All valid application made through HSBC HK Mobile Banking and Personal
Internet Banking will be entitled to four lucky draw

entries, versus one entry
for paper application

or submission via HSBC public website. Customers
only need to turn in their application once through one of these channels.
For the convenience of customers, HSBC’s three Mobile Branches will serve
as an additional channel to accept application forms. Launched in 2016, the
three Mobile Branches travel, every Monday to Saturday, to public housing
estates in 19 locations in Hong Kong

to provide basic banking services to the
community.
As a community bank, HSBC is committed to meeting customers where they
are with its banking services. Branch staff at the Mobile Branches will be
available to help with questions about the application process, account
opening and other banking needs.

Registration for the Scheme will commence on 21 June, 2020 and will run
until 31 December 2021. HSBC customers, who are eligible for the Scheme,
can either register through HSBC HK Mobile Banking and Personal Internet
Banking, submit their application on HSBC website www.hsbc.com.hk (no
log-on required), or visit one of the Bank’s designated branches.
Registration through digital channels is simple; customers will also receive the
payment faster. Cash payment will be disbursed into customer’s active sole-
name account around one week

after their registrations have been verified.
Cash payment for applicants through other channels will take around two
weeks

Customers can check their application status on HSBC HK Mobile Banking
and Personal Internet Banking or call the Bank’s 24x7 hotline 2996 7288 for
questions related to the Scheme.
HSBC has rolled out a number of relief measures for customers since the
outbreak of COVID-19 in Hong Kong. Personal customers have been
supported with relief loans, moratoriums on principal repayments for
residential mortgage holders, and special insurance benefits. A wide range of
measures are also in place to provide liquidity relief of more than HKD30
billion for businesses of all sizes and across different industries.

5. For applications through HSBC Personal Internet Banking and HSBC HK Mobile Banking in the first
two weeks of the registration, the cash payment will be made available in the third week.
6. For signing up through HSBC public website www.hsbc.com.hk or paper application at branches
during the first six weeks of the registration period, payment will become available from 20 July
2020 for batch 1 applicants (Year of birth: 1955 or before), 3 August 2020 for batch 2 (Year of birth:
1956 to 1970) and 17 August 2020 for batch 3 (Year of birth: 1971 to 2002).
