SEC FIRST ROUND MAJOR LEAGUE PICKS
The SEC had seven players selected in the first round of the 2015 Major
League Baseball Draft. Those seven picks represented five different schools.
The SEC has now had a first-round MLB selection each year since 1991 and
105 total in the first round during that time. Vanderbilt’s Dansby Swanson
was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks as the No. 1 pick in the 2015
MLB Draft, becoming the fourth SEC player to go No. 1 in the MLB Draft.

This 2015 season marked the 81st season of conference play in the
Southeastern Conference. In 1933, baseball became one of the first sports
in which the SEC crowned a champion. The league did not sponsor teams
in 1945 and 1946 due to World War II.
The SEC standings below include all regular-season games from 1933-
2015, with SEC Tournament games counting in 1993 and 1994.
