The jail was well organized and clean, staff seemed knowledgeable about policies and operational procedures, and when asked,
detainees voiced no concerns about treatment or the conditions of confinement.

2022 MONITORING REPORT
Criminal Justice Specialist Jennifer Delaney conducted compliance monitoring at the McHenry County Jail
on May 10, 2022. Entrance and exit interviews were conducted with Sergeant Deanna McCahill.
IMPROVEMENTS SINCE LAST INSPECTION
A Low Radiation Body Scanner was purchased an installed.
A peer support group was started.
ICE detainee contract was terminated and the facility no longer houses immigration detainees.
